YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Update: The York County Coroner's Office identified Chloe Brown, of Felton, as the victim of Saturday's crash.
State police are still investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Update: I-83 southbound at Exit 40 is back open.
Previous: A section of Interstate 83 is closed after an overnight crash that left one person dead.
State police said the crash involving four passenger vehicles and two commercial vehicles happened around 1:21 a.m. on I-83 southbound at Exit 40 in Fairview Township.
A 21-year-old woman, one of the drivers, was found dead at the scene, police said.
Three people also involved in the crash were taken to the hospital to be evaluated for their injuries. No word on their condition.
The southbound lanes of I-83 at Exit 40A are still shut down while officials investigate the crash.
More information is expected to be released later today.
