One woman dead after her home caught fire

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 22. The coroner also responded.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Update (Dec. 27): The York County Coroner's Office has identified the 54-year-old woman who died in the Dec. 22 fire as KeShim Whiteleather.

According to the Coroner's report, Whiteleather lived in the Rockville Road home that caught fire.

The PSP Fire Marshal is continuing the investigation into the cause of the fire.

Previously: The York County Coroner's Office announced that one 54-year-old woman died in the fire.

Her name, cause and manner of death will be released after additional family and friends are notified.

There will be no autopsy, but a routine toxicology will be obtained.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the 500 block of Rockville Road in Jackson Township shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 22 for a residential fire.

The Northern York County Regional Police and the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall are investigating the incident.
