Here's how Tröegs fans can help the Hershey-based brewery fight hunger in Pennsylvania

Tröegs announced on Wednesday its partnership with Feeding Pennsylvania to raise funding for local food pantries - all through sales of its popular Perpetual IPA.

HERSHEY, Pa. — Tröegs Independent Brewing announced Wednesday it is partnering with Feeding Pennsylvania to raise funding and awareness for local food pantries.

The Hershey-based brewer's Perpetual Giving campaign encourages Tröegs fans to “drink great beer and do great things” as part of Tröegs' Aletruism program, which the company says "helps...focus our priorities and the ways in which we serve the people, places and resources who’ve helped us along the way."

From now through December 31, the independent, family-owned brewery will donate a portion of proceeds from sales of Perpetual IPA – the best-selling craft beer in Pennsylvania – to Feeding Pennsylvania.

“The holiday season serves as a reminder of the real issue of food insecurity,” said Tröegs co-founding brother Chris Trogner. “We’re proud to partner with our amazing wholesalers to help Feeding Pennsylvania and local food pantries in our home state.”

Feeding Pennsylvania is dedicated to securing food and other resources to reduce hunger and food insecurity across the commonwealth; its network of food banks spans all 67 counties and serves more than 1.2 million people annually.

“We applaud Tröegs for prioritizing food insecurity in Pennsylvania,” said Julie Bancroft, CEO of Feeding Pennsylvania. “The Perpetual Giving campaign exemplifies the ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ philosophy. It will bolster resources for Feeding Pennsylvania’s food banks and their partner pantries and agencies, working to end hunger in communities statewide.”
