LANCASTER, Pa. — UGI Utilities, Inc. announced that work on a gas main replacement project in Manheim Township, Lancaster County is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 1.

The work is part of UGI’s commitment to provide safe and reliable service, the company said.

It will impact the following streets:

  • Grandview Boulevard between Pleasure Road and McGrann Boulevard
  • Martha Avenue between Grandview Boulevard and McGrann Boulevard
  • Janet Avenue between Grandview Boulevard and McGrann Boulevard

Construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., UGI said. Drivers, residents and business owners may experience road closures, detours and traffic delays during construction hours. Parking will be restricted on the impacted streets during these hours. There will be some interruptions to natural gas service. This will require UGI to have access to properties to inspect and relight equipment.

Construction is scheduled to be completed by late July. Weather and working conditions may impact completion date.
