State Police: Couple uses trash can to steal power tools from Tractor Supply Co.

The alleged theft occurred Monday afternoon in Lancaster County. Police are seeking help in identifying the suspects.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — State Police are trying to identify a couple accused of using a trash can to steal power tools from a Tractor Supply Company in Lancaster County.

The theft occurred Monday afternoon at the retail store, located in Elizabeth Township.

According to police, the man and woman used a galvanized metal trash can to conceal several power tools and left without paying.

The couple left the area in a black or green 1998-2004 Jeep Cherokee with a lift kit, black simulated bead lock rims, a roof rack with a Jerry can strapped onto it and an American flag decal covering the driver's side rear window, police said.

Anyone with information on the suspects' identities is asked to contact State Police at (717) 299-7650, PA Crime Stoppers at (800) 4PA-TIPS, or submit a tip online.

All callers to Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
