Police: Mother, son passed counterfeit money at Lancaster County business

DENVER, Pa. — A woman and her son have been charged with passing counterfeit money at a business in Lancaster County earlier this year, East Cocalico Township Police said Monday.

Shannon Yoh, 41, and her son, Anthony, 21, are both charged with forgery and theft by deception following the investigation of an alleged incident that occurred on Sept. 25, the police department said.

According to police, Shannon Yoh passed counterfeit $20 bills at a business on the 2500 block of North Reading Road. Police investigated the incident and found her staying at a hotel across the street from the business, along with her son, Anthony.

Anthony Yoh was found to be in possession of more than $600 worth of counterfeit money by investigators, police said.

Both suspects were arraigned and released on unsecured bail, according to police.
