LANCASTER, Pa. — Lancaster County Prison officials on Monday announced the death of an inmate.

Deborah F. McClucas, 60, was found unresponsive in her cell around 8:24 p.m. on April 16, prison officials said. She was immediately transported to Lancaster General Hospital, where her family was notified of her admittance.

She was then released from custody by Lancaster County Prison at the hospital, something that is often done, when appropriate, for inmates receiving end-of-life care, officials said.

McClucas was pronounced dead on Friday, according to prison officials.

She was an inmate at the prison due to a technical parole violation and bench warrant, officials said.

The Lancaster County Coroner's Office determined McClucas died of natural causes, according to the prison.
