The Atlantic League baseball champion Lancaster Barnstormers are changing their name...sort of.

The team has been known colloquially as the Stormers for years; on Thursday, they announced they've made the change official to mark their 20th season.

The Stormers also have a new, modernized logo, featuring a bull with lightning bolt on its forehead. The club will stick with the agricultural theme, wearing a barn patch on its uniform sleeves.

And don't worry; Cylo, the Stormers' mascot since 2005, isn't going anywhere, the team's management said.

"Coming off back-to-back championships and entering our 20th year, we thought this would be the perfect time for updated branding," general manager Mike Reynolds said in a press release.

According to team officials, the brand refresh is inspired by the club's rich history, while marking its intent to storm into the future.

The new, updated look is designed to generate fan excitement, expand merchandising opportunities, and provide inspiration for thematic gameday activations.

The team wanted its new identity to "feel authentic to both the agricultural roots of the region as well as the forward momentum and modern essence of Lancaster."

Officials explored multiple other logo options, including roosters, weather vanes, horses, and even tractor combines before settling on the bull.

The Stormers have won two straight Atlantic League titles and four championships since its first season in 2005.
