Harrisburg football coach facing DUI charge, placed on administrative leave

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Harrisburg School District's head coach and Athletic Director Calvin Everett is facing a DUI charge, according to online court documents. 

Everett was charged with a first-offense DUI charge - general impairment of driving safely on Jan. 28, 2024. 

Everett was driving on Interstate 83 just before 4 a.m. on Jan. 28 when a police officers noticed his car swerving, crossing over the center and fog lines multiple times, according to a criminal complaint. Police say he showed signs of impairment during a field sobriety test and was subsequently taken into custody, where his blood was drawn.

The Harrisburg School District confirmed that Everett is currently on administrative leave. 

In August of 2022, Everett was charged in an odometer-tampering scheme. He pled guilty to one civil penalty and paid a $1,059 fine, according to court documents.
