HARRISBURG, Pa.-- Harrisburg police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide on Saturday afternoon.
Police say at 3:21 p.m., they were called to the 2100-block of Jefferson Street for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man in the backseat of a car suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. That victim is identified as 51-year old Freddie Stewart.
Officers quickly gathered information at the scene and took the shooter into custody. That suspect is identified as 66-year old Douglas Smith. Smith is now facing Criminal Homicide charges.
