Washington Commanders announce dance team auditions for 2024 NFL season

Command Force is looking for dancers, gymnasts, and Beat Ya Feet entertainers to combine their talents and create performances that will energize Commanders’ fans.

WASHINGTON — The Washington Commanders entertainment team will be holding auditions for the 2024 NFL season. 

Command Force is looking for dancers, gymnasts, and Beat Ya Feet entertainers to combine their talents and create performances that will energize Commanders’ fans. Auditions will begin on Saturday, April 13, and run through April 16 at Commanders Field. 

Command Force is one of the league’s diverse, co-ed squads made up of more than 40 people. This year’s auditions will welcome three Guest Celebrity Choreographers: DeShawn “da prince” Hawthorne, Celine “Boom” Edmondson and John Pearson III aka Crazylegz. 

Hawthorne travels and teaches dance worldwide, he’s performed with celebrities from Missy Elliott to Christina Aguilera. Edmondson is the current Assistant Coach of the Brooklynettes Dance Team, where she danced and choreographed for seven seasons. Crazylegz, a DMV native, has been pushing the go-go culture around the world for over a decade. 

Auditions will consist of an “Open Call’ preliminary, semi-final, and final round. The final round includes an interview rehearsal, a media shoot and a final shoot. Auditions are an elimination process throughout each round.

Walk-ups are not permitted and all candidates must register in advance. The deadline to register is April 12, 2024, at 5 p.m., auditions are free of charge and closed to the public.
