The United States Golf Association on Monday announced the launch of a new contest ahead of the 79th U.S. Women's Open, which returns to Lancaster Country Club on May 27.

The USGA has hidden oversized golf balls featuring the U.S. Women's Open Lancaster rose logo at participating businesses and golf courses in Lancaster, York and Dauphin counties.

Fans who find the balls can use their smart phones to scan a QR code that lets them enter for a chance to win a series of championship experiences, including:

  • Grand Prize Package of two (2) Penn Club tickets, a behind-the-scenes tour of the media center and other facilities, and a Meet-the-Player experience
  • Second Prize Package of two (2) 1761 Club tickets
  • Third Prize Package of two (2) Gallery tickets

The contest is open to anyone 18 or older and ends on Monday, May 20 at 11:59 p.m.

Fans may enter once at each participating location, but only once per location, and winners will be randomly selected after the contest closes. For a full list of participating locations, contest details and official rules, go here.

This year marks the second U.S. Women’s Open at Lancaster Country Club following the 2015 championship which set records for both player entries (since broken) and attendance. In Gee Chun claimed the 70th U.S. Women’s Open with an improbable final-round performance that included three consecutive birdies from No. 15 to edge countrywoman and 54-hole leader Amy Yang by one stroke.
