The state playoffs begin this weekend in high school basketball, and a total of 30 District 3 schools will be gunning for the gold.
The action begins Friday night, with PIAA matchups in Class 5A, 4A, and 1A. Saturday's slate includes schools from Class 6A, Class 3A and Class 2A.

All first-round games are held at the home of the higher seed, unless otherwise noted.
