Lawmakers up for election vote in Pennsylvania primary

The polls opened at 7 a.m. on Tuesday to allow people to vote in Pennsylvania's primary election.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Primary election day is here, which means residents across Pennsylvania will be hitting the polls all day to cast their ballots.

Those voters include the lawmakers running in the election, such as State Rep. Patty Kim (D) and U.S. Rep. Scott Perry (R).

Kim was at Thomas Holtzman Elementary School in Susquehanna Township this morning to cast her ballot. Perry made an appearance at Monaghan Presbyterian Church in Carroll Township.

Kim and Perry are vying for seats in two of the most hotly contested races. Kim hopes to win the race for Pennsylvania State Senate to represent District 15. Perry is looking to keep his seat in the U.S. House, representing Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District.
