Fallen tree closes Kise Mill Road in Newberry Township

Police say it might take several hours before the tree can be removed and the roadway reopened. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.

YORK HAVEN, Pa. — A fallen tree blocked both lanes of Kise Mill Road in Newberry Township, York County, police said Wednesday afternoon.

The tree is down on the 600 block of the roadway, between Roxberry Road and Steinhour Road, and Med-Ed officials estimate it will take several hours to remove it and get the road back open, according to Newberry Township Police.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
