DIMOCK, Pa. — A World War II veteran was honored Saturday night in Susquehanna County.
The 34th Annual Susquehanna County Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner was held at Elk Lake High School, and 102-year-old Harold Gary was the man of the night.
Gary served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He has become a local historian and has written several articles for the Susquehanna County Historical Society, as well as two books.
