LEBANON, Pa. — The Lebanon City Police Department is getting a new K-9 officer.

"With generous donations made from businesses and our community, we are proud to announce our new addition to the police department, K-9 Ares," the police department said.

Ares is currently training at High Drive K-9 Inc. Academy in South Carolina along with his handler, Officer Erin Secoges, the police department said.

Following graduation in March, Ares and Secoges will attend a swearing-in ceremony in Lebanon, according to the department.

"We will continue to have updates as K-9 Ares starts his career at the Lebanon City Police Department," the police department said.
