LANCASTER, Pa. — A Philadelphia man will serve up to 16 years in prison for selling more than two pounds of methamphetamine in Lancaster County in 2022.

Emmanuel Woods, 31, was convicted in December 2023 of charges related to the transportation with intent to deliver 2.1 pounds of meth in East Lampeter Township. He was also found guilty of possessing drug paraphernalia, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office.

He was sentenced Monday to a prison term of 8 to 16 years by Lancaster County Judge Jeffery A. Conrad, according to prosecutors.

According to evidence presented at his trial, Woods was arrested as part of a State Police investigation into a Philadelphia-to-Lancaster methamphetamine operation in early 2022.

On July 13, 2022, at approximately 11:18 p.m., police observed Woods and a codefendant arrive at a business parking lot in the 2000 block of Lincoln Highway, East Lampeter Township, in a Honda Accord.

The pair had arranged a sale of methamphetamine at that location, but members of the Pennsylvania State Police, Lancaster Station Vice/Narcotics Unit were able to intercept the delivery.

A search warrant was issued and executed on the Honda Accord, which yielded 2.1 pounds of methamphetamine, plastic baggies for packaging, a digital scale, US currency and bags used to conceal the items.

Assistant District Attorneys Benjamin Baker and Kyle Linardo prosecuted the case.
