Police ask potential witnesses to Mount Joy Township crash to come forward

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed a fatal Lancaster County crash to come forward.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A crash in Lancaster County yesterday killed one person.

The Northwest Regional Police Department says the crash occurred just before 7:15 a.m. on April 15 on a section of Hershey Road that connects Route 283 to Beverly Road in Mount Joy Township.

Three cars were involved in the crash. When officers arrived, they found someone performing CPR on an unresponsive victim of the crash. Emergency medical services took the victim to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Hershey Road was closed for several hours while the Northwest Crash Team investigated, police said.

The Mount Joy Township Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact Officer Aaron McCoy at the Northwest Regional Police Department at 717-367-8481 and reference report number NW-24-01228.
