One dead in overnight fire in Perry County

The fire was reported shortly before midnight on the 200 block of Railroad Street in Penn Township, near Duncannon, authorities said.

DUNCANNON, Pa. — Emergency personnel and the county coroner were called to the scene of a deadly fire in Perry County overnight, authorities confirmed.

The fire was first reported shortly before midnight, according to emergency dispatch. 

It occurred along the 200 block of Railroad Street in Penn Township, near Duncannon.

A State Police spokesperson confirmed that one woman, 63-year-old Rebecca Kinsey, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her cause of death is pending an autopsy. 

PSP Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the deadly fire.
