A group of “potty-mouthed princesses” are hoping to get their message out. And they are using vulgar language to make their point.
“What the f***? I’m not some pretty, f***ing helpless princess in distress. I’m pretty f***ing powerful and ready for success,” the girls say in the video.
The girls ask what’s more offensive? A girl saying the F-word? Or unequal pay and the way society treats women?
In the pro-feminism video, the girls list “pay inequality,” “rape and violence,” and “be pretty” as more offensive than the F-word. The girls suggest we shouldn’t be offended by the use of a word, but instead because women are still paid 23 percent less than men in the same job.
The video was created by FCKH8.com, a for-profit company that sells clothing that promotes social change. The company was recently criticized for its “Hey White People” video featuring kids from Ferguson wearing FCKH8 t-shirts and discussing racism.
