FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. – Authorities confirm one pedestrian has died after being struck on Interstate 81.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday evening at Lincoln Highway East in Guilford Township.
Police say that a motorist waved down a Chambersburg Police cruiser to say that a male pedestrian had gone over the guard rail and began walking on the Interstate.
The pedestrian, a 20-year-old, was struck before police were able to make contact with him.
Police are investigating the incident as a suicide.
