Dustin Klopp called the Pennsylvania State Police on Christmas Day and told them he killed his wife, Stephanie Kilhefner, with a knife and an axe. "How could anybody do that?" said Jere Fenninger who has lived right across the street from where it happened on Georgetown Road in Paradise Township, Lancaster County for almost two decades.

Police said Klopp initially called them around 5:30PM on Christmas Day to say he had killed her. About an hour later police say he came to the Lancaster barracks and told them the violent details. Klopp told them he got in an argument with Kilhefner on Christmas Eve and punched her in the face. When she fell to the ground he took a knife and slit her throat. Then he grabbed an axe and hit her in the back of the head repeatedly before hiding her body in a shed near his house. "Cold. And then stuffed her in a bag and put her out in a shed? Ay ya ya it's just unbelievable to us," said Fenninger.

Other neighbors said the couple had two children, both under the ages of ten who are now being cared for by their grandparents. Meanwhile Klopp is being held at the Lancaster County Prison. His bail has been denied. For the people that live in Paradise Township, it's still a shock. "I feel sorry for the family now," said one neighbor. "We just couldn't believe that something like that happened this close to home," said Fenninger.
