YORK, Pa. —

Study: Eating habits may reveal signs of early dementia

A little-understood form of dementia might be revealed by behaviors with food.

Scientists in Great Britain say frontotemporal dementia could affect personality, behavior, language and speech... and yes, eating habits.

Symptoms could be varied, like eating non-food objects or obsessing over one food for long periods of time. Other symptoms include acting inappropriately or impulsively, stealing food from others' plates or neglecting personal hygiene.

Not enough sleep makes you feel older

New research reveals that not getting enough sleep can actually make you feel older than you are.

Participants between the ages of 18 to 46 slept only four hours a night for two nights in a row. On a later date, they were then asked to sleep nine hours for two nights in a row.

Participants said that after the two consecutive nights of nine hours of sleep, they felt about four years younger, but after the four-hour nights, they actually felt six years older than their real age.

Parents struggle over sick days

A new survey reveals if you struggle to determine whether your kids are too sick to go to school, you aren't alone!

The survey from University of Michigan revealed that more than half of parents say they are more likely to let their kids stay home if they are unsure of the seriousness of their illness. However, a quarter of parents say they would still send their kids to school and just "hope for the best."

The survey also shows that most parents analyze whether their child is contagious or if they will miss a test when determining if they should stay home from school.
