Students at York Suburban High School prepare for Mini-THON

The event tonight is to raise money for the Four Diamonds Organization to help fight childhood cancer.

YORK, Pa. — Students and teachers at York Suburban High School are throwing a party inside their gymnasium on Friday night.

Starting at 9 p.m., York Suburban High School is putting on their 11th annual Mini-THON, an all-night event that helps raise money for the Four Diamonds organization to fight childhood cancer.

Students and teachers will be on their feet for 10 hours, participating in activities such as karaoke, dodge ball tournaments and mechanical bull rides. It all culminates to the big reveal where students announce how much money they raised throughout the year.

Right now, students and teachers have set a goal $72,621. Money raised will help support some of the nation’s leading laboratory and clinical research programs to better prevent, diagnose, treat and cure childhood cancer.
