Harrisburg organization honors King's legacy, while helping the community

The MLK Day of Service invited community members to come out for multiple volunteer opportunities in the Harrisburg region.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — Volunteers and organizers with Harrisburg service group Central PA MLK 365 gathered at Zion Missionary Baptist Church for the 15th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service on Jan. 15. 

This year, they are acknowledging the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act.

The MLK Day of Service invited community members to come out for multiple volunteer opportunities in the Harrisburg region. This year, the service group hosted a community resource fair. 

The Day of Service kicked off at 9 a.m. and ran until 3:30 p.m.
