Power restored to thousands after storms across Pennsylvania; some still waiting

Pennsylvania energy providers confirmed thousands of customers were without power as strong winds gusted through the area Wednesday night.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Thousands of people across Central Pa. were left without power Wednesday night after storms accompanied by strong winds caused damage across the area.

According to the Met-Ed Outage map, there are sporadic outages reported across central Pennsylvania, but most of the power has been restored. York County has the most in the area, with just over 200 outages reported.

Met-Ed says it will provide an estimated time of restoration once it has more information.

To report an outage to Met-Ed, you can call 1-888-544-4977.

According to the PPL Outage map, around 100 Dauphin and Cumberland County customers each have reported outages, along with another approximately 200 in Lancaster.

PPL says the power in all counties should be restored by 11 p.m. on Feb. 29.

At this time, Adams Electric is reporting no outages.
