CARLISLE, Pa. — Rain, snow, or shine the Carlisle Sports Emporium in Middlesex Township, Cumberland County is the perfect place to escape the winter weather and take part in a wide range of fun activities.
The sports emporium is a family-owned business that first opened in 1993. It has everything from arcade games and go-karting to laser tag and a 10,000-square-foot event space for live music and dance. A go-to place for the community it serves and beyond.
"We’ve been what I like to reference is more of like the heartbeat to our township,” said Sadie Plasterer, vice president for the Carlisle Sports Emporium. "The Carlisle Sports Emporium is a shopping mall of interactive fun."
It's a perfect place for the dreary days of winter or the hustle and bustle of summer.
"We are 100 percent, rain, snow or shine type venue," said Plasterer.
Fun activities for everyone at any time.
"We’re not the simple place for only young kids to come, or only teenagers can come or even just adults, we have a wide spread of activities," said Plasterer.
The emporium is also starting its live music events this February, every Saturday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., along with line dancing on Fridays twice a month.
It's all part of their focus on fun memories they have been creating for the past 30 years.
"We continue to grow with them as they’re making memories and lasting impressions and being able to be a part of something like that, there aren’t words for [it]," said Plasterer.
They hope to continue to create those memories for decades to come.
"Whether it is their first time or their tenth time, they keep coming back because they’ve had such a great time and we’ve enabled those memories," said Plasterer.
