After using the second pick of the draft to take quarterback Jayden Daniels, the Commanders will add five more people to their team Friday.

WASHINGTON — If all goes according to plan, the Washington Commanders will add nine new names to their roster before the end of Saturday. The team kicked of the 2024 NFL Draft with a bang, by taking the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, Jayden Daniels as the second overall pick in the draft.

During a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the draft, the Commanders picked up two additional second round picks. Commanders traded away pick 78 in the third round, leaving them with seven total picks within the first 100 selections of the draft. They'll finish off the final four rounds Saturday with three picks.
