According to ESPN PR, the matchup was the most-watched women's college basketball game on record, bringing in 12.3 million viewers.

ALBANY, N.Y. — Shattering records is kind of Caitlin Clark's thing.

And the Hawkeye's Monday night rematch against defending champions LSU broke another: According to ESPN PR, the matchup was the most-watched women's college basketball game on record.

The game, which ended in a 97-84 Hawkeye win and guaranteed another Final Four trip for Iowa, garnered 12.3 million viewers. The game also broke ESPN's own record.

Many tuned in to see two star players in action: Clark and LSU forward Angel Reese, who shared the 2023 Sporting News Athletes of the Year award after their 2023 championship bout.

The Iowa women will face UConn on Friday night in Cleveland, a matchup that could push them toward their second consecutive championship game.
