LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa.– At least two people were injured after a wrong way crash involving multiple vehicles.

Around 8:00 a.m. on February 4, police were dispatched to Route 30 East near New Holland Pike for a traffic complaint.

Initial reports indicated a dark-colored SUV was traveling westbound in the eastbound traveling lanes of Route 30.

The vehicle entered the highway in East Lampeter Township before traveling a “significant distance” police said.

As police were responding to the scene, additional calls came into the 911 center reporting several crashes between Walnut Street and Route 222.

Upon arrival, police learned that a wrong way driver eventually crashed head-on into another vehicle in Manheim Township.

As a result, two people were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is under investigation.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them at 717-569-6401.
