MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is hosting its 20th Annual River Road Cleanup on April 13.
Every year, helpers spruce up the 10-mile stretch between the Delaware Water Gap and Bushkill.
"The area around here is so close to the Delaware River, and a lot of that litter on River Rd eventually makes its way to the river. So that's one really important reason to clean up River Rd. And another reason is it's near Earth Day weekend and it's the perfect time to give back to Mother Nature," said Jeromy Woo, Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.
The Pocono Mountains Visitor Bureau is also looking for volunteers to clean up several areas across Monroe, Carbon, Wayne, and Pike counties on April 20. For more information, click here.
