YORK, Pa. — A Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in York County sold a Powerball with Power Play ticket worth $100,000 for Monday night's drawing.

The ticket matched four of the five white balls drawn (7-11-19-53-68) and the red Powerball 23 to win $100,000, less applicable withholding, the Lottery said.

Without the $1 Power Play option, the ticket would have been worth $50,000. The Power Play multiplier drawn was two.

King Tobacco Express, located at 49 West Market St., York, will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket, according to the Lottery.

Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back. Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed. Players may visit palottery.com for more information about how to file a claim.

More than 119,900 other PA Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes of various amounts in Monday’s drawing, including more than 19,400 tickets purchased with Power Play and more than 18,200 tickets purchased with Double Play. Players should check every ticket, every time, the Lottery said.

The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on January 1, 2024, by a ticket in Michigan that won a prize worth $842.4 million.

In Pennsylvania, this recent jackpot run has generated more than $65 million in sales, creating a profit of more than $26 million to benefit older Pennsylvanians.

As of Tuesday morning, in Pennsylvania, Powerball tickets were sold at a rate of an estimated $612 per minute.
