USPS will host job fairs at 6 Central PA locations later this month

The USPS is looking for carriers, carriers assistants, clerks, and assistant mail handlers.

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The United States Postal Service announced it will host a series of job fairs across Central Pennsylvania in an effort to fill several open positions.

"Accepting a position with the United States Postal Service is the first step that could lead to a long, fulfilling career with a dynamic, forward-thinking organization committed to delivering for the American people," the USPS said. 

The USPS said it is looking to fill immediate openings for the following positions:

  • City Carrier PTF - $22.18 per hour
  • City Carrier Assistants (CCA’s) - $19.33 per hour
  • Rural Carrier Associate - $19.94 per hour
  • PSE Clerk - $20.05 per hour
  • Mail Handler Assistant - $17.32 per hour

The job fairs will be held:

Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

To assist potential applicants, USPS personnel will be onsite at the job fairs to provide detailed information about the positions and to answer questions.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and be able to pass drug screening and a background investigation and must be available to work weekends and holidays.
