Thousands without power across Pennsylvania due to winter storm

Many people are still without power due to the snow across the area.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Thousands of people across Pennsylvania are waking up without power this morning due to the heavy, wet snow falling across our area.

According to the Met-Ed Outage map as of 2:10 p.m., nearly 60 people are without electricity in Mifflin County. Over 600 people in Adams County, more than 2,000 in Cumberland County and nearly another 6,000 across Franklin, Lebanon, Perry and York Counties are affected as well.

To report an outage to Met-Ed, you can call 1-888-544-4977.

According to the PPL Outage map as of 2:10 p.m., nearly 13,000 people in Dauphin County and almost 7,500 people in Cumberland County are without power. Over 9,000 more customers in Lancaster and Perry Counties are also without electricity this morning. An additional 1,650 people are also without power in Juniata County.

To report an outage to PPL, you can call 1-800-342-5775.

Adams Electric Cooperative is reporting nearly 1,000 customers without power across Adams, Cumberland, Franklin and York Counties as of 2:10 p.m., according to their outage map.

Expected restoration times for the power companies are ranging from this morning to later today.
