Knoebels looking for workers for 2024 season

We are just over one month away from opening day at Knoebels Amusement Resort, and the park is looking to hire several hundred workers.

ELYSBURG, Pa. — There's a lot to do behind the scenes at Knoebels Amusement Resort before the park opens next month. But at the top of the list is hiring.

"Pre-pandemic we were about at 2,300 people. We're looking for over 2,000 this year.  Last year we had over 2,000 so we're almost back at that pre-pandemic rate," Knoebels Director of Human Resources Eileen Murdock said.

Eileen Murdock is the Director of Human Resources at Knoebels. She says the park near Elysburg hopes to hire several hundred seasonal employees this year.

"We opened almost everything last year. We had a good amount of people, so if we can meet last year's numbers, we should be good for 2024," Murdock said.

Knoebels provides bus transportation for employees.

"We have routes in Shamokin, Mount Carmel, Berwick, Bloomsburg, and Sunbury. We bring people in at the beginning of their shift and take them home at the end of the day as well," Murdock said.

Knoebels held a community job fair over the weekend and has three more coming up in the Berwick, Elysburg, and Sunbury areas.  People can be interviewed and hired on the spot. Murdock says people are needed for every position.

"Whether it's rides, it's food service, it's games, we've got a lot of openings out there for anyone," Murdock said.

Knoebels Amusement Resort opens on April 27th.
