MIFFLINTOWN, Pa. — An overnight apartment fire left 13 people without a home just two days from Christmas.
Firefighters were called to an apartment building on the 100 block of North Main Street around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday for a fire.
At the scene, crews found the building engulfed in flames, especially at the back of the building.
The building consisted of four apartments and sustained major fire, smoke, and water damage fire officials said.
The neighboring apartment building also suffered some smoke and water damage.
A total of 13 people were displaced but fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Firefighters worked for over three hours to contain the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshal.
