Lancaster County Coroner called to mobile home fire

It is currently unknown how many victims there were as a result of the fire.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Update, 1 p.m. (Jan. 22): George Schabelnik, 74, of Bainbridge, was found dead in the wreckage of a recreational vehicle that was consumed by fire, Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said in a press release Monday.

Schabelnik lived in the vehicle and was its only inhabitant, Diamantoni said.

His cause of death was due to smoke inhalation and thermal burns, according to Diamantoni, who ruled the manner of death was accidental.

The Lancaster County Coroner's Office has been called to the scene of a mobile home fire in Conoy Township on Sunday afternoon.

At the moment, it is unknown how many victims there are.

First responders are still at the scene on the 2300 block of River Road.
