Four taken to hospital after crews respond to hazmat incident in York County

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Emergency responders are at the scene of a hazmat incident in York County.

Authorities were called out to the 200 block of Mine Bank Road in Washington Township around 1:50 a.m. on April 29, according to York County 911 Dispatch.

A fire chief with the Washington Township Fire Department says a carbon monoxide leak broke out in the middle of the night.

Four people were taken to the hospital for treatment, and their current conditions are unknown. The coroner was not called to the scene.

Officials did not say whether the home had working carbon monoxide detectors.
