HARRISBURG, Pa. — A 20-year-old Harrisburg man and two teenagers are facing charges after State Police say they led troopers on a vehicle pursuit in a stolen car last week.

James Scott, 20, was driving a stolen 2015 Kia Optima through the city shortly after midnight on Thursday when the vehicle was observed by a trooper who attempted to pull the vehicle over in the area of North 15th and Miller streets, according to State Police.

Scott allegedly fled from the attempted traffic stop, leading troopers on a vehicle chase that ended when authorities performed a PIT maneuver on the car, police said.

Scott and the vehicle's two other occupants, both 17-year-old boys whom police did not identify, allegedly attempted to flee on foot, but were apprehended, according to police.

Arresting troopers discovered Scott was in possession of a "ghost gun," and determined he was wanted by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Service for an outstanding firearm arrest warrant.

One of the 17-year-old passengers was found to be in possession of a firearm that had been reported stolen, and another firearm with an obliterated serial number, according to police.

Both juveniles were also charged, though police did not specify their alleged offenses.

Scott was charged with receiving stolen property and related offenses, police said.
