LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — State Police confirmed that a Harrisburg woman has died after being injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lancaster County early Thursday morning.

Kelly M. Little, 38, was driving a 2011 Mercedes-Benz ML350 that was stopped in the right westbound lane of the Turnpike in Clay Township at 2:10 a.m., State Police said.

Police said they did not know why her vehicle was stationary, but its headlights and taillights were on and the vehicle was in park.

Little's vehicle was struck from behind by a Peterbilt tractor-trailer, according to police. Her car was driven off the roadway, where it overturned before coming to rest on its passenger side.

The driver of the truck attempted to stop, but was unable to avoid the impact, police said.

Little was pronounced dead at the scene.

The operator of the truck was not injured, according to police.
