York County man Larry Daigle used his metal detector to find a precious family ring.
Mary Jane Nelson, of Camp Hill, Cumberland County says the ruby ring belonged to her mother. Her young daughter lost the ring in the backyard 44 years ago and she could never find it.
Daigle has found beloved objects for people before. He found the ring last week and on Sunday Nelson was reunited with it.
“I gridded the machine on there and pinpointed exactly where you needed to go and sure enough when I dug it up out popped the ring,” says Daigle.
