RED LION BOROUGH (WPMT)- Another attempt to keep York Area Regional Police Coverage in the borough of Red Lion has failed.
At a meeting Wednesday night, the York Area Regional Police Commission rejected a three-year, $675,000 proposal from the borough council.
The police commission for York Area Regional Police said the issue involves how the borough would make up any additional money needed for police coverage.
The police commission said, at this point, they are planning their 2015 budget to not include coverage for Red Lion.
That means Pennsylvania State Police would take over responding to calls in the borough stating in January.
