SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY, PA — Those bumpy ramps on sidewalks in some neighborhoods are required by federal law. But only now are people dissevering that even through PENNDOT installed many of them, you might be on the hook for repairing or replacing them!
The ramps are are required by the Americans with Disabilities Act, or A.D.A. Even though the ramps are federally mandated, PennDOT said local boroughs are responsible for their repairs or replacements, not the state or federal government.
