A York County man was arrested after he tried to steal a 55″ inch flat screen TV from a Walmart in Cumberland County, police said. Troy Nichols, of Glen Rock, is charged with retail theft.
It happened Sunday at the store located along the 6500 block of Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township.
According to police reports, witnesses stopped Nicholas as he tried to run out of the store with the television set. He fled the scene in his vehicle–but was caught by police a few minutes later in Middlesex Township.
He was taken to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of 10,000 bail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 23.
