SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP, Pa.-- A tractor-trailer fire is creating major traffic delays on Interstate 81 in Cumberland County.
It happened just after 11 a.m. in the northbound lane near mile marker 57.5 in Silver Spring Township.
According to 911 dispatchers, there are reports of entrapment.
Life Lion has also responded to the scene.
Heavy black smoke could be seen for miles.
I-81 northbound is closed between Exit 57: PA 114-Mechanicsburg and Exit 59: PA 581 East/To US 11-Camp Hill.
I-81 southbound is also closed between Exit 59:-PA581 East/To US 11 and Exit 57-PA 114.
