WILLIAMSTOWN, Dauphin County, Pa. -- State Police are charging a 15 year-old Lykens boy with killing his brother early this morning. Troopers were called to the 100 block of Autumn Drive around 1:50am for a reported shooting. They say Dakota Thornton admitted to shooting his brother, 18 year-old Dominick Thornton over the victim’s girlfriend.

Dakota Thornton was taken into custody without incident. He is being charged as an adult.

According to court documents, Dakota Thornton told the responding trooper, "I shot my brother." The coroner arrived and pronounced Dominick Thornton dead at the scene.

During his interview, Dakota Thornton confessed again and told police he shot Dominick with a shotgun because he was romantically interested in his brother's girlfriend.
