A routine traffic stop leads to a shot fired at a state trooper and a pursuit in Cumberland County.

It happened shortly after 4p.m. Wednesday when a Pennsylvania State Trooper stopped a vehicle carrying two men, which had a “dead tag” behind the Capital City Mall in Camp Hill.

Police say the passenger of the vehicle, Daniel Alfredo Negron Rosario, 27, of Harrisburg raised a rifle and fired a shot at a Trooper. The vehicle then sped away.

The driver, Alberto Xavier Rodriguez-River, 26, also of Harrisburg ended the short pursuit when he crashed the car along the 3900 block of Hartzdale Drive.

Both men jumped out of the vehicle and continued to flee from police on foot.

 Rosario is faces charges of attempted homicide and several different charges of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering.
Rodriguez-Rivera  is facing charges of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering, fleeing and eluding and a seat belt violation.
Police are still investigating. No other details are being released at this time.
