Lower Paxton Township Police are investigating more vehicle break-ins and a burglary that occurred early Friday morning that are related to other reported on Wednesday of this week.

Police are saying someone broke into vehicles on Rockford Drive and Rowe Lane and entered a home on Wesley Drive while residents were sleeping. These streets are adjacent neighborhoods on the east end of Blue Ridge Avenue. Residents reported seeing an individual prowling around homes in the area, police said.

Investigators say several coin purses were found in a yard in the neighborhood that have not been reported stolen but appear to have been removed from vehicles.

Police say the burglary on Wesley Drive occurred between 12:20 a.m. and 6:15 a.m. Cash was taken from a wallet and a purse was rifled through. Police say the thief entered through an unlocked door.

In addition, officials say another home on the same street had an attempted burglary where an exterior door was opened but nothing is missing and a car in a driveway was entered that had a key taken and it appears it was used to attempt entry into the home.

Police say a home in the 6900 block of Blue Ridge Ave. was entered and items removed from an attached garage. that home is near the intersection of Rowe Lane and Blue Ridge Ave.

According to police, evidence suggest that the burglar or burglars are pulling on house doors and car doors and entering when they find either the home or vehicle is unlocked.

Police  are urging residents to keep all exterior doors of their homes and all car doors locked at night. Wallets and purses should not be kept out in the open and valuables should not be stored in vehicles.

Residents are also asked to report any suspicious persons and vehicles and to report any crimes, however minor they may appear to the police department.
