An officer is flagged down by a female walking barefoot and in distress early Saturday morning.
According to police, a Swatara Township patrol officer was stopped by the female just after 3:00 a.m. along S. 28th Street near Amity Road in Harrisburg. The victim told police she had been sexually assaulted and raped behind a business near Amity Road.
Police say the victim told officers she was in Harrisburg and accepted a ride from a male to go to a friend’s house in Swatara Township. The suspect pulled his car behind a business building and assaulted her, police said.
The suspect is being described as an overweight black male in his mid 20’s, about 5’10”, with black short hair, with a small goatee. Police say he was wearing shorts and a t-shirt at the time of the incident.
According to police the suspect is driving a small foreign model green car with a manual transmission.
The victim was treated at a local hospital and was able to provide police with a composite sketch of the suspect which will be released later.
